Sterling silver and anodised aluminium jewellery signature collection.
This stunning collection features my silversmithing skills combined with the visual and textural aspects of anodised aluminium. Each piece features hand finishing and handmade toggle clasps where appropriate. The techniques used on the aluminium include dyeing the material and then applying a very heavy texture almost to the point of destroying the matrix surface in places, so when the sheet is dyed a second and even a third time, the indented areas are unable to take up the subsequent colours. A silver component or trim completes each piece.
Absolutely beautiful anodised aluminium necklace. The stunning coral pink and gold deeply textured petal shapes have been hand cut, finished and forged and dyed using specialist aluminium dyes. Two reticulated brass petals enhance the overall effect. The necklace is finished with a gold plated toggle clasp.
