SlickSilver Jewellery produces pieces inspired by nature and textures. Inspiration often comes from the deep red of an autumn leaf or a walk along the high tide on a beach. Val Williams takes inspiration and sometimes materials from nature to design and produce contemporary silver and copper jewellery. Silver is often reticulated giving a unique undulating finish and this is sometimes complimented with pieces of coloured glass that have been altered by the wild seas and which are sometimes known as Mermaid's Tears. Copper is beaten or richly texturised to make the most of its colour. Hand-painted and dyed anodised aluminium sing with colours and designs inspired from every aspect of life. Each piece produced is an individual design which is not repeated.

As promised, 2012 has seen the launch of the Signature Collection, which marries sterling silver elements with aluminium which has been dyed and manipulated in a very particular way.  The resulting pieces are extremely individual, stylish and contemporary.  You can find the new work in the Signature Collection Shop and don't forget that if you've liked a particular design in the past and it's disappeared, ask me, I might still have some tucked away!!
